A Course in Miracles teaches us that when anything threatens our peace of mind, we can ask ourselves “[h]as God changed His Mind about me?” Knowing that Absolute Good never changes, that the heart of Spirit always embraces us with unconditional love, we are restored to the infinite light of peace.

The Course says: “When you do not value yourself you become sick, but my value of you can heal you, because the value of God’s Son is one. When I said, ‘My peace I give unto you,’ I meant it. Peace comes from God through me to you. It is for you although you may not ask for it. When a brother is sick it is because he is not asking for peace, and therefore does not know he has it. The acceptance of peace is the denial of illusion, and sickness is an illusion. Yet every Son of God has the power to deny illusions anywhere in the Kingdom, merely by denying them completely in himself. I can heal you because I know you. I know your value for you, and it is this value that makes you whole.”

What a joy it is is to pause long enough to remember my value and to feel the peace it gives to me: a peace that is greater than any time, place, or relationship. My value is much greater than what I perceive, limited by judgment, criticism, worry, and/or doubt.

The light of peace refreshes my soul and centers me in the reality that I AM.

In the 3rd Chapter of Exodus, one of the most powerful affirmations of peace appears, when God said to Moses, “I am who I am. This is what you are to say to the Israelites: ‘I am has sent me to you.’”

The Course says, Spirit waits to give you the “peace that is yours. Give His peace, that you may enter the temple and find it waiting for you . . . . [Y]our mind must be as pure as His, if you would know what belongs to you. Guard carefully His temple, for He Himself dwells there and abides in peace.”

It is in this peace that we can be still and shine our light as healing energy for all.
