Meditation or mindfulness, the practice of focus on the present moment without judgment, is important for honoring purpose because when we are centered in meditation, we are more in tune with the guidance of Spirit, to the divine ideas that are always available to us.

Stress, worry, and doubt put us in a survival mode that is not conducive to creativity. Purpose helps us stay centered. When we align with purpose, we are not self-indulgent; we shift our perspective from “me” to “we.”

If we feel threatened, we go into a lower state of consciousness, shutting down and fighting for survival rather than creating. Meditation helps move beyond the “fight, flight, or freeze” reaction of a lower state of consciousness and supports a growth mindset, which allows us to be proactive rather than merely react.

With meditation, we develop a growth mindset instead of a fixed mindset. A fixed mindset is rigid and afraid to move beyond limited thinking.

Stretching beyond comfort, a growth mindset
always starts with a belief in our shared potential.

What we give always comes back.
