You own the narrative of who you are.
As spring fills us with the victory of new possibilities, we must strengthen with the resolve that we will not be defeated by the ignorance, violence, and hatred of a few people. Now is the time to know that we will protect all of our brothers and sisters, including our Asian and Pacific Islander family, that we will change the narrative of fear into one of power, that we will be better, resilient, visionary, strong. Now is the time to rise in love rather than be defeated by worry. Now is the time to push beyond our limitations and images of lack, and triumph in the miracles that we can take any madness and rise beyond attack to the greatness that we share. Now still and always will remain our moment.
I know that we are more Spirit than we are flesh. I rise from the appearances of doubt and center myself in the greatness of knowing that I AM, I can, I will, and I stretch outside of the boxes that once contained me.
I reclaim my greatness, my strength, my determination. Through mindfulness practices, I rewire my brain, which results in greater courage, creativity, enlightenment, immunity, and better stress management. I return to the gym, back to a consistent routine and a clean diet. I step outside of the narrative that domestic terrorists try to create and I feel the power of who I AM, centered in positivity.
Scientists say that “the body is constantly in a state of reinvention. Cells replenish themselves regularly. Old cells die and new ones are born. Of all your organs, your skin replaces itself the most quickly, but each one regenerates. You do not have the same physical body you had just a few years ago. Every cell has been replaced.” (Dr. Christiane Northrup, from Goddesses Never Age: The Secret Prescription for Radiance, Vitality, and Well-Being). I begin my day with the good medicine of the soul, blessing a country that is suffering, knowing that the healing that we need will take place.

”Unweight yourself of your past, and ascend from the depths of your struggle while taking back control of your health.”
— Dr. Ivan Hernandez

“I see every life experience as part of the journey, rather than destinations, we must reach. The resistance we encounter along the way, both our own and that of others, is necessary because by challenging us, it forces us to grow. If we embrace the challenges, we flourish.”
Dr. Ivan Hernandez, Courage to Continue: Steps for Boldly Surmounting Life’s Adversities

There is nothing that we cannot defeat through the power of all that we are – strong in the solidarity of love.
