One of my colleagues recently shared that
Michelle Obama said, that “we’ve got a responsibility to live up to the legacy of those who came before us by doing all that we can to help those who come after us.”

Our responsibility is so important that it requires us to rise above the fray of the lower vibrations of others, to commit to a higher consciousness, which is one of the things I always admired about President Barack Obama.

So did the former First Lady.
She said
“when they go low, we go high.”

Going “high” requires more than a human consciousness.
We are spiritual beings having a human experience.
Going high allows us to tap
into that part of us that is
pure Spirit.
Going high is recognizing the power that we are.

We don’t have energy
to give to negativity
because when we do,
we lower ourselves
into its toxic vibrations.
We have to process
our anger, pain and disappointment,
and focus to do the work
that must be done.

We are called into this existence
to perform a service to humanity,
to make us better than
we were before,
to use the gifts and powers
that we have to lift ourselves
above the vile racism
and prejudice as a human race,
to help us recognize
that we are one –
responsible for everyone.
If we stay bitter and resentful
for too long,
we remain in the energy
of those who are toxic
and try to destroy
with hatred,
rather than create
with pure love.

No matter what, go high.
Decree what you desire,
and make it so.
Envision beyond the box
that ugliness gets stuck in.
Change the world
with compassion, kindness, and love.
Be the greatness
that we are all meant to be.
