WE ARE ALL KIN: October 2, 2020

Kindness includes the word KIN: we are all kin, we are all connected.

Tenzin Gyatso, the Fourteenth Dalai Lama says “When we feel love and kindness toward others, it not only makes others feel loved and cared for, but it helps us also to develop inner happiness and peace.”

The greatest degree of inner tranquility comes from the development of love and compassion.

The more we increase our awareness of love, the more we will be able to tap its power for ourselves and for others.

None of us would be present today if it were not for so many acts of kindness from others: the metta that birthed and fed and taught and guided and blessed and sustained us.

Scientific research within metta reveals that through its super power, changes happen quicker.

Our metta is so strong, we don’t even have to be together but we see each other, we feel our spirits, we connect with our souls – across the appearances of boundaries, we are one.

The only way we will emerge completely from these spaces of protection, these healing restorative wombs of spirit – the only way we will emerge form these cocoons of metta that we sit and ponder in each day is by changing our hearts – is by sitting in the power of metta until it seeps through every muscle, and penetrates our bones – and we finally wake up and know that the most important way to emerge is through the infinite power of metta – our wings will lift us from this experience and we will begin to fly, to soar in a new way.

In each present moment, I have the power to speak metta into the universal realm of truth and feel the vibration of its words echo back.  I can repeat the words of metta for me, and for you, and for everyone.
