The Deuteronomist says “the Lord your God is the one
who goes with you to fight
for you against your enemies
to give you victory.” (Deuteronomy 20:4)
In this light of victory, we triumph against
the hatred and fear of exclusion and
rise in the power of knowing that we are one
in the fullest expression of all that God is.
In this oneness, we triumph,
knowing that no one and nothing
can limit us from succeeding
in doing the good that we are called to do.
Job 20:4-5 teaches us “the triumphing of the wicked is short,
and the joy of the hypocrite is but for a moment.”
Inclusion for all will prevail — not for the few
but for all who come to the table,
not for those who want to make others suffer in shame
but for the absolute good that discriminates
and condemns and denigrates no one.
1 Chronicles 11:14 says “they took their stand in the middle of the field.
They defended it and struck the Philistines down,
and the Lord brought about a great victory.”
In the field of victory, we rise to our true calling
to demonstrate the good of
all expressing through each and everyone of us.
