Not only are there differences of opinion about the New Year
and when it should begin, but there are also different celebrations
throughout the world and in different cultures
about what calendar day allows them to release the old and put on the new.
In some respects, Paul defeats this controversy
when he says, “I die daily” in 1st Corinthians 15:31.
Every day, in fact, every second, every moment allows us to
die with the realization that with each breath,
we are born again.
