“Let us take with us words and go into our God.”
I have a love story with Jesus that never ends.
When I was 17, I laid in the arms of Jesus for weeks
while the doctors tried to find out what was wrong with me.
When I was in pain, I knew a scripture that I had never read.
In John 14:18-21 –Jesus says:
“I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you.
Before long, the world will not see me anymore,
but you will see me.
Because I live, you also will live.
On that day you will realize that I am in my Father,
and you are in me, and I am in you.
That is the most powerful love story there is.
When I wanted a better job, or a healthier body or even a spouse,
I got down on my knees and spoke to the Jesus in me –
the love that never leaves me or forsakes me.
When I was called to minister and tried to ignore the calling,
Jesus showed up and reminded me that he was calling me by name.
Here and now, I listen to the voice of Jesus,
a presence and a power that always pulls me through.
I humble myself by knowing that the entire universe is wherever I am.
